بيان العمل | Artist Statement العربية أشرف عبدالله رمزيات متنقّلة، ٢٠٢٦ فولاذ مجلفن مطلي يدويًا 240 × 117 سم بالتعاون مع غلام ياسين يتناول العمل فنّ الشاحنات بوصفه ممارسة تعبيرية ترتبط بالإنسان قبل ارتباطها بالوسيلة. تتحوّل الشاحنة إلى مساحة مرئية يُعبَّر من خلالها عن الذات والتجربة والانتماء، في سياق تنقّل مستمر بين الأماكن. تنشأ العلامات البصرية من واقع يومي متحرّك، وتتشكّل بما يتوافق مع الطريق والبيئة والسياق المكاني الذي تظهر فيه. ومع الحركة، تغدو الشاحنة وسيطًا يحمل أثر التجربة الإنسانية، ويصبح التنقّل عنصرًا محوريًا في إنتاج هذا التعبير. لا يقدّم العمل الهوية بوصفها كيانًا ثابتًا أو مكتملًا، بل باعتبارها عملية تشكّل مستمرة، تتأثّر بالحركة وبالعلاقة المتغيّرة مع المكان. ومن خلال رصد هذه الممارسة، يكشف العمل عن كيفية تشكّل الهوية أثناء الحركة والتنقّل داخل الفضاء العام. ⸻ English Ashraf Abdullah Symbolism in Transit, 2026 Hand-painted galvanized steel 240 × 117 cm In collaboration with Ghulam Yaseen The work examines truck art as an expressive practice that is rooted in human experience prior to its association with the vehicle itself. The truck is transformed into a visible surface through which identity, lived experience, and a sense of belonging are articulated within a condition of continuous movement between places. Visual signs emerge from a dynamic everyday reality and take form in relation to the road, the environment, and the spatial context in which they appear. Through movement, the truck becomes a medium that carries traces of human experience, with mobility assuming a central role in the production of this mode of expression. The work does not present identity as a fixed or complete entity, but rather as an ongoing process of formation shaped by movement and a shifting relationship with place. By observing this practice, the work reveals how identity is formed through motion and mobility within the public sphere.
