These vases are handcrafted from Diriyah clay and sand, inspired by the organic structure of the palm trunk as a form embedded in Diriyah’s visual memory. The work unfolds through layered construction and a raw, irregular surface, reflecting natural growth processes and the gradual formation of material over time. The ridges and traces of hand-shaping echo the palm’s structural rhythm, as each form builds layer upon layer. Rather than imitating the palm directly, the vases translate its underlying logic, becoming a visual extension of the land and its environmental memory—an embodiment of growth, trace, and enduring presence.
